Newton Abbot SC is looking to appoint an Assistant Coach.
We are a successful teaching and competitive club with over 400 members from beginner to national level and a thriving water polo section. Swim 21 accredited, our focus is to continually develop the club and build on our successes.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to:
- Mentor and inspire swimmers, teachers and poolside volunteers.
- Deliver excellent coaching skills and prepare sets for the Junior Squad.
- Assist the Head Coach for 3½ hours per week and attend competitions as required.
- Use sound planning and administration skills and communicate clearly to all.
- Work closely with and under the direction of the club’s Head Coach.
- Provide coaching cover for the Head Coach, including the writing of sets for Senior Squad during holidays, sickness, competition cover and other absences.
- Work with the club’s committee.
The position is self employed. Coaching experience and UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification or working towards are desirable. A full CRB enhanced check will be required. Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Meeting Between Newton Abbot Leisure Centre And Swimming Club |

During a recent meeting with staff from Newton Abbot Leisure Centre the following requests were made; |

Please could all users shower before entering pool and girls remove makeup. Anyone arriving on poolside with makeup on will be asked to return to changing room and remove it -
No exceptions |

|
Please do not leave drinks bottles/caps/rubbish or chewing gum on poolside or in changing rooms – use litter bins available |

Club Kit Equipment Box |
| |
|
It has been noted that items are frequently borrowed from the club’s equipment box located on poolside. This equipment is provided for our Learn to Swim Section ONLY and not to be used by Junior or Senior Squad swimmers.
If your child is in the Junior or Senior Squad please ensure they have the correct kit at each training session. Kit details can be found by clicking on Swim Shop Button on the left.
Shop dates and contact details are also displayed if you need to make a purchase.
Swimmers presently in the Learn to Swim Level 7 group who may soon progress to the Junior Squad will require their own kit. Parents may wish to purchase the necessary kit now and details can be found as above.
If you are unsure of the required kit please speak to your child’s Teacher/Coach who will happily advise you. Thank you. |
