| NEWTON ABBOT’S YOUNG U15 WATER POLO TEAM |

Pictured on a cold evening at Teignmouth Lido, Newton Abbot’s young u15 water polo team.
The photo was taken after their latest victory, a 13-2 win against Exeter. This was the team’s 5th successive win and sees them heading the Devon league table with a maximum 10 points. Pictured back l to r : Tom McLeman, Jordan Roberts, Ed Joffe, Jack Beer, Ed Glanville; front l to r
Laura Shears, Chloe Roberts, Paris James, Tommy Whiting Newton opened the attack with 3 goals in the first quarter from Beer, Whiting and J Roberts, with McLeman keeping a clean sheet in goal. In Q2 there were 2 goals for Glanville and one each from Shears and McLeman. Newton moved further ahead in Q3 as McLeman, Glanville (completing his hat trick) and Shears added further goals, bringing the total to 10-0. Shears too secured a hat trick at the start of the final quarter; late rally from Exeter saw them scoring twice in this final quarter against the run of play, but Beer and Joffe added 2 more for Newton. |
