| PLYMOUTH LEANDER OPEN MEET |
| 21st - 22nd July 2007 |
At a good quality Meet run by Plymouth Leander, again it was Newton’s younger swimmers who achieved the best results.
Tom Normington, aged 9, produced an impressive set of results with some excellent PBs. He was 3rd in the 200m IM (PB), 2nd in the 50m Back and 50m Free (PBs in both) and won the 200m Fly with a 28 second PB. In the same age group, Tom Cosford came 3rd in the 50m Breast.
Charlotte Wright, Sammy Basham and Emma Silk put up yet another good showing for Newton’s 10 year old girls: they achieved a range of top 10 places, and some excellent personal best times. All Newton’s entrants in the Girls’ 200m IM (Wright, Silk Basham, Abbie Carne, Nicole Wickens, Abbi Clarke, Lara Cosford) achieved PBs of at least 8 seconds.
There were also PBs for Guy Bennett, and Adam Boulton. |
