Newton Abbot Swimming Club finished in second place in the recent Speedo League warm-up gala at Bath, ending up just behind eventual winners Yeovil in the final points table.

Individual race winners for Newton Abbot were Benjamin Jordan (Open - 100m fly and IM ), Abi Carne (11u 50m back), Becky Cooper (open - 100m back), Richard Glanville (open 100m back and free), Charlotte Wright (11u 50m breast), Sophie Jenkins (13u 50m fly), Tom Burford (15u free), Lara Cosford (11u 50m free) and Jamie Peters (11u 50m free).Personal best times were recorded by B Jordan, Lewis Hailstone, Chloe Kemp, Edward Glanville, Tom Normington, Charlotte Wright, Tom Burford, Tom McLeman, Sophie Irons and Richard Glanville.

Relay wins were achieved by the boys' 13u freestyle team of E Glanville, Hailstone, Tommy Whiting and Ryan Rogers and the 11u girls (Lara Cosford, Nicole Wickens, Laura Beth Morrison, Abi Carne, Charlotte Wright) won both the freestyle and medley events.
