| 9th FINA World Swimming Championships |
| MEN Arena, Manchester 9th – 10th April 2008 |
| On the 9th and 10th of April, club members travelled to Manchester to watch the World Swimming Championships. One of the highlights of the 2 days was meeting Sharron Davies MBE. Sharron won two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and a silver at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow . She now is a BBC Presenter and kindly agreed to have her photo taken with our swimmers and to sign autographs. Another highlight of the visit was being filmed, live on TV, collecting autographs from various Championship medal winners! The trip was a fantastic experience for our swimmers and a good time was had by all! A big thank you to all involved in organising this trip. |
