ANNUAL GALA SPRINTS SEPTEMBER 20th |

The 50m times from this part of the annual gala will be taken into consideration when selecting the team for Speedo League.
The 25m events are intended for swimmers that have not regularly represented the club at galas in individual events, as 25m is not a recognised competition distance. |

NEW LANE ALLOCATION |

The details below show the session that swimmers are invited to attend. The lanes are shown as a guide only and coaches will allocate swimmers to lanes as they arrive on poolside. This will ensure that each swimmer achieves the maximum benefit from each session, depending on the objectives of the session for that individual swimmer in relation to where they are in their annual training cycle. Therefore please ensure that swimmers are on poolside at least five minutes prior to the start of the session. If swimmers are already in the water, coaches will not move them around to accommodate latecomers. read more ... |

Meeting with Leisure Center Staff |
| |
|
On Monday the 4th February a meeting was held with Jo Boardman regarding the timing of swimmers being allowed onto poolside for their sessions. This was as a result of a letter of complaint from a member of another Club. The Center has brought in a policy of swimmers being allowed onto poolside 3 minutes prior to their session. The session must end and swimmers must be out of the water after their allocated time in order for the smooth changeover of clubs etc. Coaches will be allowed onto poolside 15 minutes prior in order to set up sessions etc as long as this is with minimum interference to other clubs/users. Swimmers must also ensure that all belongings are brought on poolside unless secured in a locker. There have been incidents of children running around the top floor area and stairs, sometimes in their swim wear and Jo has asked that the parents keep the children with them at all times. This was agreed and an information notice to this effect will be put on the board and web site. |
